What our customers say

'I've just woken up this morning after arriving home last night from my totally amazing 5 days of cruising the channel on Diamonds with Rooby and the other girls. My first thought when I woke up was how much I enjoyed myself last week and so I had an urge to tell you!' Click for more....

'Just a quick line to say Girls for Sail rocks!!! I had a fantastic time last week, Rooby was amazing as our skipper, her calm and clear instruction taught me more in 5 days than I'd learnt in 12 months cruising in the West Indies. We all made good friends on board -the only downer was when we had to get off and say goodbye! Thanks so much.' - Alison RYA June 2011

'Really excellent; friendly; professional; great atmosphere among the women; 50% were purely individual travellers, and the others were a group of 3 and a group of 2 - but there was no 'clique-iness' between those who knew girlsforsail and those for whom it was the first time.  Really impressed with Annie, her ethos, her teaching ability (especially day 3 after the race when we had more time); loved the way she would let people try things for themselves; loved her philosophy of looking out for each other / no such thing as a silly question / and have fun - no small feat when the gusts were 37knts at one point!' - Suzy Round the Island 2011

'Excellent tuition in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.' Ellen - RYA Day Skipper June 2011

'Many thanks to the GFS team for 5 fab weeks sailing in the Caribbean - I had a wonderful time, great sailing, great parties and so many laughs with some super people and I'd do it all again in a heartbeat.' Janet - Caribbean Core Crew 2011

'I had an absolute ball at St Barth's regatta racing with the Girls For Sail crew. We worked hard racing during the day, partied hard at night and discovered new friends and places. Annie is a terrific skipper, leader and motivator.'  Jenni - Les Voiles 2011'Absolutely superb Round the Island Race 2011, weather challenging to say the least but huge thanks to Annie and her team (you know who you are!) for making the race and weekend a memorable one as usual. I will be back for more sailing very soon ....'  Karen, Round the Island 2011

'I just wanted to thank Rooby and Harriet at Girls for Sail for a great week in the BVI. We did a lot of fun things, I got reacquainted with sailing techniques and mostly I had a chance to relax from a very stressful job and home life.' Bernie - Antigua to USVIs 2011

'I had a great time.  It was a lot of fun and I would love to do it again.' Susan - Grenada Sailing Festival 2011

'It was a great 1st "real sailing" experience for me & something I'll remember forever' Joy - Caribbean Learn to Sail 2011

'Thank you so much for providing me the opportunity to learn so much more about sailing in a fun way. I think you are absolutely amazing, not to mention what you are doing for women and sailing is priceless.'  Lawson - RYA 2010

'The course was great,  I learnt a lot, and would love to do more sailing sometime in the future.  I would thoroughly recommend it to any other ladies.'  Allison - Experience Weekend Sailing 2009

'An essential once a year fix!'  Frances - Round the Island 2010

'Rooby is an excellent skipper & trainer - really patient and explains things really well. Thank you.'  Charlotte - RYA July 2010.

'I really enjoyed the experience.  I did a competent crew some years ago I was sidelined by the all male participants, so it was nice to be included in everything.'  Audrey - RYA June 2010

'Just wanted to say how fantastic a weekend I had a couple of weeks back - group of us celebrated a mate's hen do - Girls for Sail really made the weekend for us.  Excellent staff, brilliant adventure - even the weather didn't put us off!  Keep up the good work - totally loved it!' Lou - Hen Weekend July 2009

'I just wanted to send you a quick email to say thank you for such a fantastic hen weekend, I loved it and know the girls did as well. Liz and Zoe our skippers were great fun to have onboard, I think my mother in law wanted to adopt Zoe by the end of the weekend! I'm really glad we went sailing and that we had all the excitement on Saturday it was great to do something different.   Keep enjoying the water!'  Claire - Hen Weekend

'We're having great fun this sailing season!  Just back from a flotilla holiday in Croatia where we had 4 thunderstorms in 8 days and all whilst we were on the water.  On one occasion the genoa struck out on its own swept gloriously whipping through the wind and the furling line got stuck, in the drum.  My husband had to go to the front of the boat and I had to take the helm.  So rocking and rolling like never before I heard skipper Diana's voice saying quietly 'take a deep breath...relax' and IT WORKS.  I texted her to say thank you and now I am writing to say a huge THANK YOU GFS for adding to my confidence in the boat and on the water.  So to THUNDEROUS APPLAUSE, I say adieu.'   Ann - RYA Competent Crew (thanks to GFS!)

'Antigua was a wonderful experience. I can still picture it all now, out on the blue water with the wind in our hair! It truly was an amazing holiday, we worked so bloody hard but played hard too - it was quite unlike any experience I have ever had before. And the girls were all wonderful company too - I really quite missed them when I got back and hope we can all keep in touch. Annie was an awesome skipper and no matter what we threw at her - and believe me, it was a lot - she kept calm and made us all feel incredibly safe. The sailing was great and I am afraid anything will seem tame after this. Went sailing on a lake in Switzerland two weeks ago and was bored silly! And the nightlife was out of this world .... all in all a very positive experience.'  Julie - Antigua Race Week 2009

'It's an amazing way to combine real race experience with a week-long party ... girlsforsail notoriously tear it up both at sea and on dry land!'  Rhiannon -  Antigua Race Week 2009

'Awesome - one of the most exhilarating holidays I have ever been on'.  Suzy - Antigua Race Week 2009

'Wow I have found a new sport that I love!  Annie knows how to manage a crew of head strong woman.  Her calm and focused manner ensured we were always safe even in the most difficult situations.  A genuinely life changing 2 weeks.   Kirsty - Antigua Race Week 2009

The weekend was brilliant!  It was a fun and friendly group.  The Skipper needed a nerve of steel and the patience of Job! She helped make the trip safe, educational and very enjoyable.  I sent all the photos I took to everyone on board via email and, oh yeah did anyone mention dancing on tables at the aptly named Folly Inn? You were right, it was a great weekend with nice people.'  Ann - Weekend Birthday Charter September 2008

'One of the best things I have done in my life this so far was to sign up for the Fastnet campaign.' Bev - Fastnet 2003
