RYA DAY SKIPPER PRACTICAL COURSE

So you've successfully completed your RYA Competent Crew course and learned to sail with some basic knowledge,  had a few trips on friends boats, but now you want to take over and become skipper!  It's time to complete your RYA Day Skipper course!

This is the next step in feeling even more confident on a boat.

Ideally you will have completed you're RYA Day Skipper Theory course beforehand so all of the navigation work will have been done and you'll understand it, now all you have to do is put it into practice..

You're skipper will nominate you to Skipper some passages and you will get the chance to make the decisions, remember the only way you will know what to do is if you do it!

It may seem quite daunting (but also very exciting??) the thought of being in control. On completion of this course you have the chance to charter a boat out yourself, so make sure during the course you get all of your questions answered, and anything you are unsure of!

You can complete this course over 5 days solid during the week or over 2 weekends 1 of 3 days 1 of 2 days whichever way suits you best we will be able to come up with something. During these 5 days you will get the chance to put your lights to the test whilst going on a 4 hour night sail! Get the hot chocolate (and hot water bottle) out and get the crew up on deck for an incredible experience..
