About the event:
These weekends are ideal for both absolute beginners and those who want to simply get more experience with a good fun crowd. They run throughout the spring, summer and autumn so please get in touch to find out the latest dates.
Your skipper is RYA qualified and you can take advantage of her knowledge, either learning the basics of sailing, wind awareness, parts of the boat and of course how to sail it or concentrating on particular areas you wish to practice! You can be as involved as you wish, whether taking the helm, changing a sail, pulling on a few sheets or simply sitting back and enjoying the atmosphere!
We will gently cruise around the quaint and lively parts of the south coast taking in the atmosphere. The itinerary will depend on the wind and tide and on where you would like to go on your weekend away. Whatever we do we ensure you'll be safe and have fun.
Other activities:
We'll work you hard but we play hard to! You'll get plenty of time to socialise and depending on the event explore what the area has to offer. We might spend the night discovering how the tiny village of Cowes reinvents itself after dark to become a hive of activity. The pubs and restaurants are excellent! End up dancing on the tables at the infamous Folly Inn or have a pub crawl!
The boat:
One of our 34-40 foot yachts. Spacious and easy to sail with 8 berths in 3 cabins.
